Mindfulness Course in Puck, in Poland
September 2023 – during my mobility period, I participated in a unique workshop focused on meditation, yoga, and Vision Training. The workshop was designed to address common eye discomfort and vision issues associated with screen usage. I learned exercises and techniques aimed at reducing eye strain and improving vision. These exercises were shared by the expert Mikołaj Markiewicz, who has extensive experience in vision training.
Each day began with invigorating yoga sessions and relaxation and mindfulness practices guided by Ewa Kaian Kochanowska – Mindfulness Teacher and Founder at Stress Reduction Clinic. It allowed me to experience a newfound connection between movement and mindfulness.
Over the course of the event, I engaged in various activities:
- Learning and Practicing Techniques: I learned exercises and techniques aimed at reducing eye strain and improving vision. These exercises were shared by the expert Mikołaj Markiewicz, who has extensive experience in vision training.
- Experiencing Different Ways of Seeing: We explored different methods of perceiving and using our sense of sight, understanding how they influence our well-being and consciousness.
- Morning Yoga and Relaxation: Mornings started with invigorating yoga sessions and relaxation practices guided by Ewa Kaian Kochanowska, focusing on mindfulness and attentive movement.
- Vegetarian Meal Preparation and Sharing: We actively participated in preparing vegetarian meals, fostering a sense of community and shared experiences.
- Silent Nature Walks: We had calming walks amidst nature in the serene environment near Puck, allowing for reflection and relaxation away from everyday stimuli.
- Meditations – Sitting and Moving: Engaged in various meditative practices, both sitting and in motion, enhancing inner peace and mindfulness.
- Integration and Reflection: Throughout the workshop, there was time for deep contemplation, discussions, and reflecting on the teachings and experiences.
This mobility period was a holistic and transformative journey, offering me not only valuable insights into vision care and mindfulness but also a newfound appreciation for holistic well-being and the mind-body connection.
